Description:
This museum is the state's oldest and largest professional arts organization. The extensive collection includes works that focus on Mississippi's diverse heritage, along with a strong representation of 19th and 20th century American landscape painting. Visitors can also view 18th century British paintings and furniture, Japanese prints, folk art, and pre-Columbian ceramics. Rotating and traveling exhibitions, lectures, and special programs are scheduled throughout the year.
